Paralympics Games Paris 2024: Yip Pin Xiu

Singapore's Paralympic star, Yip Pin Xiu, has done it again! She clinched gold in both the women's 100m backstroke S2 and 50m backstroke S2 at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, bringing her total to seven Paralympic golds.

At La Defense Arena, Yip defended her title with a time of 2:21.73 minutes in the 100m backstroke, edging out Mexico's Haidee Aceves by just 0.06 seconds. In the 50m backstroke heat, she dominated with a remarkable 1:05.99 minutes, finishing 3 seconds ahead of the runner-up!

The Swim Corner couldn't be prouder of her incredible achievements, which inspire us all to strive for excellence. Yip's performance is a testament to the power of hard work, determination, and perseverance. She embodies the spirit of inclusivity that makes the Paralympic Games so special. We wish her many more gold medals in the future!
