The 2024 Singapore National Swimming Championships, held at the OCBC Aquatic Centre from 12 June to 15 June 2024, showcased exceptional talent and determination. Swimmers from around the world competed in various swim categories, delivering remarkable performances, achieving personal bests and new meet records.
Day One Highlights:
The opening day was filled with record-breaking feats. Jonathan Tan impressed the crowd with his performance in the men’s 100m freestyle, clocking in at 48.98 seconds and setting a new meet record. Letitia Sim was another standout, setting a new meet record in the women’s 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:26.42.
Final Day Highlights:
The final day featured even more outstanding performances. Letitia Sim and Levenia Sim shattered the women’s 200m individual medley records with times of 2:14.80 and 2:18.18, respectively. Amanda Lim Xiang Qi claimed gold in the women’s 50m freestyle, finishing with an impressive time of 24.94 seconds and setting a new meet record. In the men’s division, Junhao Chan clocked an impressive 1:00.95 in the men’s 100m breaststroke, setting a new meet record.
